With all the uncertainty that COVID-19 brings, we know that there are many needing extra support so the MyFirmsApp team decided to donate the money that would have been spent on a festive get together, to help those who are less fortunate.

With everyone based in Darlington during more normal times, the company selected the local branch of the Salvation Army for the great work they do. It is hoped that the £650 company donation will have helped deliver frontline support to vulnerable families with gifts of food hampers and toys for disadvantaged children as part of the Salvation Army’s annual appeal.

For many children, what they receive from this appeal is the only gift they will open on December 25th and volunteers work tirelessly in the weeks leading up to the big day to ensure no youngster is left out.

Mindful of social distancing rules, several members of the team made the trip to the Citadel to present their donation to Salvation Army minister, Shirley McKenzie, who was said to be ‘delighted’ with the company’s help.
